Melinda Haynes

President

Melinda Haynes joined CapTech Financial in January 2018 and was named President the following year.

Prior to this, she spent 30-years working for a large regional bank that spans multiple states and affiliate banks, where she was a Senior Vice President and Director of Operations. Her role included leading numerous divisions and change initiatives to support corporate and consolidation objectives, including meeting regulatory and risk requirements.

Melinda was named a member of a winning team of women bank executives, as selected by American Banker magazine in its “Most Powerful Women in Banking” issue. Over multiple years, Haynes served in various leadership positions specializing in high-performance team management.

Melinda is a dynamic and powerful leader with the rare ability to lead a team to achieve results far beyond their cumulative abilities. As President of CapTech Financial, Haynes has led a company-wide transformation by focusing on efficiencies, process improvement, data analytics, and improved collaboration, all aimed at increasing production. These efforts proved successful, resulting in a trend of continuous record-breaking results for CapTech - most recently, with the highest company annual fundings of over a half-a-billion dollars in 2021 and 2022.

Melinda was recognized in December 2021 by Monitor Daily as one of the Top Women in Equipment Finance. In addition, she was honored as CXO of the Year in 2021 by Utah Business Magazine for being a member of the C-Suite who is changing the way CapTech does business for the better. Haynes led the CapTech team that created the company’s COVID-19 Relief Program (CRP), giving payment relief to 100% of customers that requested help.

Melinda received a graduate-level degree from Pacific Coast Banking School (PCBS), University of Washington, where she was in the top 10 percent of her class. She graduated from the University of Utah with her undergraduate degree. She is a graduate of the Utah Banker’s Association (UBA) Executive Development Program and has served on a regional Women’s Business Forum committee. In addition, she is an active member of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA), including the Executive Roundtable.
